California American Water Plans Meetings on Water Conservation

Via signonsandiego.com

IMPERIAL BEACH — California American Water will host two community meetings this week to inform its Imperial Beach and Coronado customers about a proposed mandatory water conservation plan.

Customers are encouraged to attend either of the meetings to find out more about the plan and speak with California American Water officials.

The first meeting will be at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Imperial Beach Community Center at City Hall, 825 Imperial Beach Blvd.

The second meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library, 640 Orange Ave.

Because of the ongoing drought, water wholesalers have been ordered to cut their water allocations throughout Southern California, company officials said. That means the company’s allocation will be significantly reduced and mandatory water conservation measures must begin.
