First launched in April 2022, the Surfrider Foundation is celebrating five year of partnership with The Beach by Whispering Angel Rosé, a rosé from the Provence region of France known for its lighter glass bottles and commitment to more environmentally responsible practices. The brand is part of Moët Hennessy's "Living Soils, Living Together" program, which brings together commitments to protecting the planet, supporting communities, and empowering people. These commitments include pursuing the reduction of chemical inputs in viticultural methods, promoting more sustainable purchasing practices, and providing employees with training on sustainable development.
Over the course of our partnership, the Surfrider Foundation and The Beach have joined forces to host 22 beach cleanups across the U.S., from Seal Beach, California, to Annapolis, Maryland, to Miami, Florida. Building a relationship with a corporate partner across the country not only demonstrates the brand's commitment to supporting our mission, but also strengthens our network by bringing that support to communities in various regions.
Through our beach cleanups, we have removed 1,700 pounds of trash – about the weight of a grand piano (!) – and engaged more than 300 volunteers. Year after year, The Beach volunteers arrive with enthusiasm and determination to leave their coast better than when they arrived.
Beyond our beach cleanups, some of the highlights of our partnership include:
Five years, 22 beach cleanups, 1,700 pounds of waste removed, and more than 300 volunteers later, we're grateful for all that we've accomplished together so far –and excited to keep building on this impact in the years ahead.
Thank you to The Beach for your continued support. We can't wait to see what's next!
