Originally from the east coast, Chanae has lived and travelled in various cities across the country, finally finding her home in the coastal canyons of LA County. Her love for the outdoors and the environment has been a lifelong affair, starting with her days as a Girl Scout and continuing as an active participant and volunteer in sustainable landscaping and permaculture organizations in South Florida, Los Angeles, and Northern California.

Chanae's connection with coastal landscapes deepened through surfing which became a gateway to a tight-knit coastal community. As the Los Angeles Beach Cleanup Coordinator, Chanae is on a mission to invite & call more people into the Surfrider community & ethos of understanding and protecting our coastal ecosystems. On the educational front, she's diving into sustainability and environmental science studies at Santa Monica College and UC Davis Naturalist programs.
