As Surfrider's Southern California Ocean Friendly Gardens Coordinator, Kathryn is passionate about advocating for watershed protection through gardens and landscapes. Kathryn graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Marine Biology, and developed a love for California native plants and restoration work during her time at the Los Cerritos Wetlands in Long Beach. She is excited to continue building momentum for the Ocean Friendly Gardens program throughout Southern California, and to empower chapters to make a positive impact in their communities.
