Mona is a lover of the ocean, an active believer in sustainability, and an experienced digital marketer. As Social Media & Content Coordinator, Mona oversees Surfrider Foundation’s global social media platforms—producing and publishing content that supports the Surfrider mission. 

Mona graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Studio Art. After graduation, she moved to California to begin her career and to fulfill her dreams of living near the water. Mona is based in Newport Beach, CA where she can enjoy the gifts of the ocean on a daily basis. You can often find her painting watercolors at the beach, practicing hot yoga, enjoying live music with friends, and cooking up a mediterranean feast.
