This holiday weekend brought Surfing and Traditions to La Push, Washington - a weekend of surf workshops for west-end and tribal youth, a contest and a beach clean-up hosted by the Surfrider Foundation. Frank Crippen, owner of North by Northwest Surf Company and the Volunteer Coordinator of the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, coordinated the Surfrider presence at the event. The event corresponded with International Surfing Day, and also serves as one of the NW’s premier gatherings for our surf community. The event also included a raffle fund-raiser with a portion of the proceeds going to the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation.
