Improve the Hawaii Department of Health's beach monitoring program

 2024 was a year marked by more cooperation between the State Department of Health and the Blue Water Task Force programs in Hawai`i. The Hawai`i Department of Health agreed to meet the intent of a state bill (SB2332) submitted by Senator Shimabukuru by continuing to test popular Tier 1 beaches when Brown Water Advisories (BWAs) are in effect. As a result, HDOH posted a revised beach program document on their website ( September 30, 2024) that reflects this positive change.
