Stopping the Flow of Plastic Pellets

By

The Surfrider Foundation and FIDRA hosted a webinar explaining the pressing issue of plastic pellet pollution on a national and global scale. The webinar featured Dayana Del Puerto from Noia Lima, Jace Tunnel from Nurdle Patrol, Paulita Bennett-Martin from 5 Gyres Institute, and Xavier Curto Zafra from Surfrider España. (Please check out the work our partners are doing!)

U.S. Congressman Mike Levin opened the event with an overview on the dire consequences of plastic pellet pollution and discuss potential solutions to mitigate its impact, including the Plastic Pellet Free Waters Act and its potential to make a real difference in the fight against plastic pollution. Please join Surfrider in taking action to stop this insidious problem by passing this straightforward, long-overdue legislative solution! And help ensure a cleaner, safer ocean across the world by insisting the Biden Administration take a strong stand on the Global Plastics Treaty!
