CeCe is a conservation biologist by training whose career has focused on protecting endangered species. Most recently, she was the Chief Conservation Director at the International Rhino Foundation, where she led their field programs in Asia and Africa. She has a Master of Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

She grew up spending summers on the Maine coast and is lifelong sailor and sea kayaker (and a better-late-than-never nascent surfer and rower). She lives with her two kids in Baltimore, but all three take every chance they can to be in a boat on the Penobscot Bay in Maine.
