Development
In her role as the Development Operations Coordinator, Misty’s efforts support the development and grant operations to grow by optimizing donor support and engagement. Misty grew up on the beaches of Santa Barbara, where she spent many warm days in the waves and on the sand. She relocated to the shores of Seal Beach after attending Cal State Long Beach, where she graduated with a degree in Community Health Education and studied how nonprofits fill an important gap within our society! Her career has continued to grow professionally within local SoCal nonprofits, and she is excited to have her passions collide with Surfrider’s mission. When not helping the ocean make more friends, Misty can be found petting the office dogs, chasing the sun, hiking in the mountains, and enjoying her time with friends and family.
