West Region

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Sarah is deeply connected to Northern California and is proud to support local chapters in protecting the coastlines she grew up exploring. With a degree in US Politics & Government and Environmental Policy from the University of Puget Sound, she brings a diverse background in habitat restoration, conservation advocacy, civic education, and both electoral and legislative politics.

A passionate advocate for clean water and climate justice, Sarah is dedicated to ensuring that all communities have access to the coast. Sarah is a proud queer surfer, and is excited to be learning to surf with Queer Surf. Her proudest accomplishment at Surfrider (so far!) has been co-hosting "Switch"—the first-ever trans and nonbinary surf exhibition, designed to celebrate and expand inclusivity in the surf community.

Currently residing in San Francisco, Sarah spends her free time avidly watching the WNBA (go Storm!) or hiking, biking, and exploring the beautiful coastlines with her dog.
