Walking Softer x Surfrider

Environmental Solutions Project

In recognition of the impacts of climate change and other environmental issues on our oceans and coastal communities, Surfrider is now partnering with Walking Softer to implement environmental solution projects with our student clubs

Whether it is working with coastal communities to respond to climate change impacts, working with local businesses to transition to green energy programs, advocating for nature-based solutions to increase community resilience, or creating a podcast about the environmental benefits of reducing single use plastics, we want to empower and support our clubs to take action beyond the beach.

This pilot program will support clubs to take on projects that address a clearly defined environmental issue. Participating clubs should strive to collaborate with community stakeholders to further the potential impact of the project, as well as make connections with environmental professionals and organizations.
