Jen grew up surfing and sailing in the Gulf Coast waters of Pensacola, Florida. Seeing her community impacted firsthand by the 2010 BP oil spill reinforced how critical it was to protect our beaches and ensure communities have clean water. Jen leads teams at WhatsApp who are building the company’s business messaging products. Prior to that, she led teams in Google’s Next Billion User’s group, which built new consumer and business products for international markets. She’s also lived in Washington, DC while serving as a National Security advisor on global refugee and economic stability issues and worked for Google Dot Org’s connectivity initiative in Rwanda. Jen graduated with honors from Stanford University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently lives with her husband and two sons between Florida and the Bay Area.
