Dr. Natalie Joy Hubbard, M.D. is a General Surgeon, self-proclaimed renaissance woman and surfer. Raised in Detroit, Michigan she moved to NYC in 1994 to attend Columbia University.  She answered the call of the ocean and discovered surfing during the early years of her career as a Trauma Surgeon in New York City. Life has been exponentially more exciting and balanced ever since. Her medical career focus has been trauma surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery and complex hernia repair. Part amphibian and water woman in the making, she has a passion for ocean conservation, community outreach and cultivating a life in better harmony with nature. She lives in the most unique, beautiful, culturally diverse close-knit community of Rockaway Beach, NY and is a proud fur mother to Ola, an Olde English Bulldogge. She spends her free time surfing, volunteering and mentoring groms with the Laru Beya Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the underrepresented youth of Rockaway Beach through surfing.
