Network

Alex is the Network Risk & Compliance Manager at Surfrider, where she leads the organization’s insurance and enterprise risk strategy to support chapters, volunteers, and programs across the network. Her background includes nonprofit operations and building compliance systems for large volunteer-driven organizations, including many years supporting complex community programming at the YMCA of the Triangle.

Alex grew up in Berkeley, CA and studied at UC Santa Barbara and the University of San Francisco. Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking, doula-work, and keeping up with her kids’ busy sports schedules. Alex’s favorite part of working at Surfrider is helping volunteers and staff see their visions come to life.
