As Senior Legal Director, Jill brings twenty years of nonprofit environmental law experience and a love of surfing, the ocean, and beaches.

Her career has taken her from coast to coast; she served as Waterkeeper at San Diego Coastkeeper, Deputy Director of the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic in New Orleans, law clerk for the Honorable Virginia Hernandez Covington in Ft. Myers, Florida, and Director of the Choose Clean Water Coalition in Annapolis, Maryland. Most recently, she served as Senior Attorney in the Northeast Regional Office of Earthjustice.

She loves living in Buffalo, New York with her husband and son (and near her parents and extended family), but is excited for frequent trips to Southern California and to beaches around the country!
