Laura is a big fan of California and has lived and worked up and down the coastline. After attending the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Laura joined the Blue Water Task Force for the San Diego Chapter and became their Policy Coordinator.  As Surfrider's California Policy Manager, Laura advances Surfrider's mission in the state by leading statewide advocacy and policy efforts. A favorite surfboard of hers is named 'The Grimace' and one of her proudest accomplishments is working on California's Fourth Climate Assessment.
