Environment

Motivated by her adventurous side and love for Puerto Rico, Sailyn joined Surfrider's Blue Water Task Force in hopes of improving the quality of the island's water resources so that future generations can enjoy it as she did when she was younger.

She graduated from the Public College of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Technology, majoring in Environmental Chemistry, Ecological Restoration, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). During her college years, she did various internships and investigations, exploring every possible field. Some of her favorites were seagrass restoration and citizen science while doing workshops for high school students and teachers on climate change and contamination sources.

Although quite busy, she still enjoys road trips around Puerto Rico, traveling to other countries, and adding members to her mini farm.
