Breitling 

Founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling, Breitling produces high quality luxury watches, watch accessories and watch services. With a long and rich history, Breitling treasures the past while dynamically moving into a future with sustainability at the forefront. In 2019, the company partnered with pro-surfer Kelly Slater’s company Outerknown to create eco-friendly ECONYL straps from oceanic waste, such as discarded nylon fishing nets. Furthering their movement towards sustainability, in 2020 Breitling replaced its formerly heavy watch boxes with ones made from upcycled plastic bottles. Breitling has set the exciting target goal to have zero plastic waste across all of its operations by 2025. These initiatives to reduce waste and plastic pollution are aligned with the Surfrider Foundation’s key impact initiative to remove single-use plastics and other forms of waste from our ocean and planet. Together, Breitling and Surfrider collaborate on beach cleanups around the globe and work to be stewards of the environment.
